Clean Tattoo Skincare Brand Mad Rabbit Inks First Big Box Retailer Deal with Walmart

Mad Rabbit will be available in 1,860 Walmart doors including seven of 10 product SKUs, in mid-August.

Mad Rabbit, a clean skin care brand offering high-quality, plant-based solutions for tattoo care, has inked its first big box retailer deal with Walmart.

As part of its omnichannel retail strategy, Mad Rabbit will be available in 1,860 Walmart doors including seven of 10 product SKUs available, in mid-August. Top sellers including the Tattoo Balm Stick, Soothing Gel, Daily Lotion, Numbing Cream and SPF 30 Sunscreen will be sold. The award-winning products are already available on Walmart.com.

The retail expansion will bring Mad Rabbit to about 3,000 total doors across the country. The news comes on the heels of the brand’s recent announcement of its $10 million Series A investment and the launch of two new products – Tattoo Repair Patches and Mad Glide tattooing lubricant, a launch party for which was held in Brooklyn in February.

Before its founding at the peak of the Covid-19 pandemic, Mad Rabbit was a “Shark Tank” alum, with Mark Cuban a repeat investee. Cuban participated in the brand’s Series A investment, which was led by Lucas Brand Equity and valued the brand at $56 million.  The valuation was four times higher than it was two years ago.

Mad Rabbit’s year-over-year growth is 138%.
